UCC Softball Welcomes a Dynamic Coaching Staff for 2025-2026 Season

As Umpqua Community College (UCC) enters the exciting second year of its Softball program, we are proud to introduce a dynamic and passionate team of assistant coaches who will help lead the next chapter of RiverHawk Softball. Joining Head Coach Steve Williams, this staff brings a unique blend of experience, dedication, and a shared vision for building a strong, competitive, and culture-driven program that honors the hard work and legacy of last year's inaugural team.

"We are excited to begin our second season with this outstanding group of leaders," said UCC Director of Athletics Craig Jackson. "Our players are fortunate to have this group of coaches helping them develop as student-athletes and people."

Assistant Coaches

  • Jade Parazoo returns to the diamond not only as a coach but as a proud former UCC Softball player. Her firsthand experience as an athlete in the program gives her a deep understanding of what it takes to compete and succeed at this level. Jade's energy, leadership, and connection to the players will be a tremendous asset as the program continues to grow.

  • Kati Parazoo joins the staff in a dual role as Assistant in Athletics, Events, and Softball. Her organizational strengths and commitment to student-athlete development make her a vital part of the team both on and off the field. Kati brings a fresh perspective and strong support for the entire program.

  • Sam Moyers, a returning coach, brings continuity and deep technical knowledge to the staff. Sam played a pivotal role in the inaugural season and is known for his focus on fundamentals, game strategy, and player development. His return reinforces the program's foundation and growth.

  • Kyle Ludwig, also returning, adds another layer of experience and stability. With a sharp eye for the game and a passion for teaching, Kyle has been instrumental in building a team-first mentality that was key to last season's success.

Together, this staff forms a well-rounded and forward-thinking coaching team, each contributing their own strengths in player development, game strategy, event coordination, and mentorship. Their combined efforts will help shape a program that is both competitive and committed to excellence, while never losing sight of the legacy and culture established in the program's first season.

We're excited for what's ahead and can't wait to see this talented coaching staff lead our RiverHawk student-athletes to new heights in 2025.
