The Umpqua Community College women's basketball team jumped out to a big lead in the first quarter, and never looked back, as they defeated the Titans of Lane Community College by the score of 89-56. The RiverHawks led 23-11 at the end of the first quarter and kept up the effort to go into halftime with a 51-27 lead. The second two quarters were more of the same as UCC out-scored LCC by a 38-29 margin.
Balanced scoring was on the docket for the RiverHawks as Dajanay Powell, Jordan Stotler and Bria Thames all had 24 points, to lead the team. Stotler finished with a triple-double, also tallying 15 rebounds and 10 blocked shots. The RiverHawks out-rebounded the Titans 53-32.
With the win, Umpqua moves to 12-0 in Southern Region play and 23-2 overall. They have clinched a spot in the NWAC Tournament.
