Dajanay Powell led five different Umpqua players in double-figures with 26 points in a 96-38 rout over the Saints of Mt. Hood Community College. Powell shot 12-15 from the floor and collected 7 rebounds in the process. Tasia Bilbrew added 14 points, followed by Ashely Backen with 13, Bria Thames with 12 and Jacque Luaders with 11 points. Thames was the leading rebounder with 13 boards, as the RiverHawks out-rebounded the Saints 57-35.
The contest was never in doubt as Umpqua jumped to a 27-6 lead at the end of the first quarter.
With the victory, the RiverHawks move to 22-2 on the season and 11-0 in the Southern Region. They are back in action Wednesday, Feb. 15th, as they travel to Lane Community College.
