RiverHawk Women’s Obstacle Course Racing Adds Roseburg Athlete

The Umpqua Community College Women’s Obstacle Course Racing has announced the signing of Roseburg High School soccer player, Alana Kilby. Kilby is a four-year Indian soccer player and a member of the 2105 State Championship Tournament qualifying team.

Head RiverHawk Obstacle Course Racing Coach Andrea Bowden had this to say about the signing of Kilby,”Alana is excited and ready to get to work. She has tremendous potential as an OCR athlete and we are looking forward to watching her train.”

The RiverHawk Obstacle Course Racign team is the first of its kind in the country and begins competition in the Fall of 2017.

Umpqua’s Department of Athletics is composed of nine varsity sports teams including four men's teams (basketball, cross country, wrestling and obstacle course racing), and five women's teams (basketball, cross country, volleyball, wrestling and obstacle course racing). Umpqua is a member of the Northwest Athletic Conference in all sports except men’s and women’s wrestling and obstacle course racing. For men’s wrestling UCC belongs to the National Junior College Athletic Association and for women’s wrestling, the Women’s Collegiate Wrestling Association.
