Congratulations to Madelyn Sharp! She has officially signed with Western Oregon University to continue her javelin career and academic career!

The queen of the block! Maddie came in with a high school PR of 105ft, and she's leaving throwing over 20ft farther (38.44m/125-1). She made big progress throughout both years at UCC. In her first season she finished 6th at NWAC South Region Championships and qualfiied for the NWAC Championships. In her second season she finished 3rd at NWAC South Region Championships to earn All-South Region honors, and 8th at NWAC Championships to earn All-Conference honors. She also secured her first meet win this season at the Raider Invite, all while battling quite the arm injury.

Maddie has made huge contributions to the team athletically, academically, and through service to the community. We are excited to follow her journey at WOU as she spends time recovering and then getting back after it!
