Akoi Yuot a 6'8 Wing and Former Star at UCC has signed a contract with the defending NBA Champion the New York Knicks Summer League Roster.  Akoi from Calgary, Canada averaged 14 points and shot 60% from the Field in just 19 minutes of action per game in his Lone Season at UCC.  The Team finished 25-4 before Covid cancelled the NWAC Playoffs. 

After UCC, Akoi went to Vancouver Island University and was honored with the CCAA All Canadian Player of the Year.  He has played professionally in Portugal, and has been a standout for the Scarborough Shooting Stars in the Canadian Professional League (CEBL).

We were loaded with talent and he was at the top.  He was very coachable and did everything I asked of him to help the team win and compete for the NWAC championship.  He has done big things in basketball and his future is still so bright.  His dream was to play in the NBA and it's right there for him", Said Coach Leeworthy.
