Miller and Beck pace RiverHawks

Sophomores Analise Miller and Viggo Beck paced the RiverHawks at the Mike Johnson Classic hosted by Western Oregon University. Both teams raced the full championship distances for the first time this season (8k for men and 6k for women).

Beck finished 91st overall with a personal best of 26:44. He was the second conference athlete to cross the finish line and now ranks #3 on UCC's top performances in program history. While the men didn't have a complete team on the day, freshman John Patterson also cracked the 27min barrier with a 26:59 to finish 97th overall and moved to the #5 spot on the RiverHawk's all-time performance list.

For women, Miller matched her personal best from just a season ago, with Ella Mather and Mya Vigil rounding out the top three. Both Mather and Vigil ran personal bests. Miller sits third on UCC's top performance list with Mather moving into the sixth position.

The Hawks will be back in action next weekend at the 50th Charles Bowles Willamette XC Invitational.
